English Language and Literature tutors in Western Cape

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

During school I was successful in grasping the key content for English Language and Literature. I have tutored students in close reading and how to comprehend and analyze language. As a writer myself I understand key concepts within English language use.

I am very experienced in this field. I have studied English Language and Literature at a University level. I have helped many primary school and high school children prepare for exams. I have taught English at a high school level at a private school. I am also qualified to teach English as a second language and have years of experience in teaching English as a remedial subject.

I have experience tutoring English literature, language, essay writing, editing and grammar. I have an English degree from the University of Cape Town and have been a private tutor in this subject for the last 5 years.

I have a Bachelors Degree in English Studies from Stellenbosch University. I am currently studying for my Postgraduate Certificate in Education specializing in English Home Language. I am fluent in English reading and writing and have completed a 120- Hour TESOL Certificate Course in English teaching. I have obtained my 120-Hours TESOL Certificate course which enables me to teach English as a foreign language.

I have had english as a subject till matric and i have had English Studies and Applied English Language Studies during my 3 year degree at Stellenbosch. English is one of my two majoring subjects. I love helping people whom might struggle or just need an extra boost with the language!

I thoroughly enjoy teaching languages as it stimulates creativity and passion. English is not only a practical subject to succeed in, but a subject that builds confidence at school and in any future endeavors. Poetry and Literature can be deep and meaningful to the reader as it exposes the reader to different perspectives and life lessons.

I achieved 96% for this subject in my final NSC examinations in 2018, which was the 5th highest mark in the Western Cape and the top mark at my school, Herschel Girls, which was the top academically performing school in the western cape that year.

I offer Fun & Informative classes with a lot of interesting reading material. I have lots of patience and compassion for people courageous enough to broaden their knowledge and master a new language.
