I am a creative linguist with a strong passion for education and constant learning. I hold a BA in Hispanic Language and Literature and an MA in Hispanic Linguistics from Mexico (my home country). In addition, I earned an MSc in Theoretical Linguistics from Canada (my second home). I have been teaching Spanish as a Second Language as well as specific topics in Hispanic Linguistics and Literature for over 15years. My teaching approach is to view language as a social activity with special attention on the language use. I have taught different groups of people in different environments: from curricular university courses with young students to more relaxed classes in private language schools with middle-aged and senior students. In addition, I have offered tailor-made private lessons to professionals and public servants of various ages and levels of proficiency in Spanish.

I’m a student at wits university doing my masters in urban studies. I have spoken English my whole life as well as learnt in English . My undergraduate degree is in English along with my honors. I do speak French basic level and I am willingly to help with that if need be however my strongest point is English . I look forward to tutoring as I enjoy meeting new people . I am a 3rd year BSc Construction Studies graduate. I believe that education is the key to a better life if one is willing to put in the necessary work. I look at education as a positive way of thinking that can unlock the great potential held within.

I am a University of Pretoria graduate with a BCom and BCom Honours in the field of Informatics, currently I am and completing a Masters in IT degree to further my studies. I have been in the industry for more than five years in IT and Consulting through which I qualified in multiple certifications in IT such as ITIL, COBIT, Prince2, DevOps, Business Analysis, Testing and Business Process Modeling. I have two years of experience in tutoring end user computing skills, IT and the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) which sparked my passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.
