I am an assistant lecturer in Visual Studies at the University Of Pretoria. I have been lecturing for 4 years. My specialist topics are 19th-century European art, film theory, visual activism, history of design and visual communications. I am currently a PhD student in digital culture and media researching images in social movements.

I love tutoring! It is a passion of mine - especially Maths and Afrikaans. I love spending time with my family and I am always eager to look at different ways for children to learn. I am an adrenaline junkie and I love doing extreme sports! I believe that you can learn ANYTHING, you just have to put your mind to it and PRACTICE! Go the distance for what you want in life.

Hey guys, I'm a easy-to-talk-to 27 year old from Cape Town. I grew up in a few different places and traveled/worked internationally for three years. My Spanish and Dutch is basic, but my English and Afrikaans is magnificent! I've taught in a few different countries including Vietnam, the Netherlands and Chile. I studied Maths and Science, but also taught English for several years. I spend all my extra time outside, surfing, running and hiking. I've got tons of energy and the one thing I can say about myself is that I'm not boring. So whatever it is we need to figure out- we will do it. We will find some way or figure out a process that works for you. Lastly: I will give my 100% when I tutor, and I hope that you will do the same.

I am a 20-year-old Visual Arts student studying at Stellenbosch University. Although I major in Graphic Design, my passions also lie with numbers and languages too. I believe that my best attribute is my patience when working with people, especially children. I have experience with tutoring as I had 5 students ranging from Grade 4 to 10 in 2019 while I job-shadowed at a digital marketing company. I love experiencing the look on my student's face at the exact moment that they understand a concept that they have been struggling with. It is a priceless moment and the reason why I enjoy tutoring so much.

I've been working as a teacher in various capacities for a significant portion of my life now: first as a German tutor for high school students, and then as a teacher for ages twelve through seventeen at a small private school in Pretoria East, where I spent most of my lunch breaks hanging out with the chickens that, to my bafflement and delight, lived right outside my classroom. I went back to tutoring, after that - but this time at the University of Pretoria, where I worked with third-year German students. We tried our best to read Kafka and conjugate modal verbs without crying. I've spent 2020 at the University of Johannesburg, where I'm working on my Masters degree while tutoring undergrads in anthropology. Distance learning has been hard on all of us, but my students were kind enough to win me the award for best tutor in the humanities department despite the challenges we faced. I'm interested in languages, writing, history, and the social sciences, and I'm excited to keep exploring these subjects with students.
