Simangele is a BSc in Life Science graduate, she decided to pursue her postgraduate studies to become a researcher because she has always been curious about the relationship between the physiological mechanisms of the human body and the human psyche, and how the ever-changing environment influences this relationship. Her excellence was recognised by winning the “Volunteer of the year” award while she volunteered at the Durban Natural Science Museum. She has successfully lead the “make-over” of the mammology wet collection comprising of approximately 5000 specimen bodies, and trained new volunteers. She is seeking a research assistant or entry level laboratory-based position.

I was raised in Belgium and my mother tongue is French. I am currently teaching French to young expats. Prior to my enrollment to the WUni, I would be glad to tutor online other students and help them mastering all aspects of the language: conversational French, listening and reading comprehension, pronunciation, creative writing, public speaking, grammar, etc.

I have academic and field experience in Environmental management. My passion for sustainable development and conservation has driven me to pursue a career in Conservation. Combined with an Honours degree in Psychology and years of working experience in Corporate, Retail and Academic environments, has given me a very wide field of understanding.
