My name is Dieudonne Kolony and I am 23 years old. I have currently completed my National Diploma in Civil Engineering in 2020 at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and looking to further my studies in 2021. Throughout my academic career, I have been consistently praised by my lecturers and peers for my work ethic and my willingness to help and assist others. I love mathematics, I love some of the challenges it brings. Mathematics has and will always be one of my favorite subjects that I ever came across with. I started helping out my peers back at high school because many came to seek assistance from me and because I had more knowledge and understanding of the subject or topic I gladly offered my assistance wherever possible. I consider myself to be a good tutor and I always try to find easy and real life explanations in order for the person I am explaining to understands. I am goal orientated and goal driven, meaning that when I set goals I always work hard to achieve them. To me goals are not just something to set and try your best to achieve them but its something I set and do whatever is needed until I achieve it. Allow me to work with child and patiently assist your child to fully grasp the concept in whatever is that he/she is finding a bit of difficulty to understand.

I am currently a third year Social Work Student at the University of the Witwatersrand. My motivation to embark on my social work came from my interest in psychology and stemmed from my time during school where I joined the outreach team. I have always felt passionate about helping people in any way that I could and through my time with the outreach team I was exposed to many children much younger then myself as well as the same age and the horrific and the horrific and appalling conditions they were forced to grow up in. Having been exposed to the in comprehensive amounts of physical and emotional abuse these children have suffered, their neglect and abandonment and trauma have made me feel passionate about wanting to make a difference. It also peeked my interesting into the field of child social work. I strive to make a difference in the lives of young children as I believe every child deserves a chance at a life full of joy, love and protection. Through my social work journey I aim to acquire the skills and knowledge that enables me to one day, help save a vulnerable child’s life by placing him or her in a healthy environment where they are cared and protected for, as well as intertwining my ever growing interest and passion for psychology in my work by helping heal the scars of these vulnerable children’s pasts. I believe that I am a fun, kind and selfless individual with a deep passion for helping people and animals. As a student social worker I am open-minded, respectful and accepting, thus I am adaptive to the uniqueness of each persons differences and diversities. I believe that each of us radiate our own light and that we are filled with an abundance of unlimited potential, it takes one person to help you find the tools to unlock your potential and the benefits and rewards are infinite. I have previous tutoring and aupair experience. I am a flexible individual and I am able to adapt my teaching style to the needs and interests of each individual child that I meet. I am a 22 year old student studying BComm Mathematical Sciences at Stellenbosch University. I matriculated from St Mary's DSG, Kloof in 2013 with 8 distinctions. I am a kind, considerate and passionate individual. I am always punctual and well-mannered, I am a very patient teacher and hope to obtain a PGCE in the near future to qualify as a High School teacher as I have really found a passion for it teaching our grade 11 extra maths class at Kayamandi High over the past 6 months.

I graduated last year from Rhodes university with a BCom in information systems, management and economics and i am currently working for a software development company as a Business Analyst while studying towards my honors degree in Business Informatics through Unisa.

I'm a third year medical student at the University of Pretoria. After achieving 2 distinctions (Maths and Maths Paper 3) in Matric, I went on to do BSc at Medunsa where I completed my first year cum laude. I was accepted into a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery MBChB) which I will complete in 2020. I am an experienced Maths tutor, having received 80% in Maths and 81% in Maths P3. I love using my ability to communicate Maths concepts to help other grasp the subject. Reading books and playing chess are just a few of my interests.
