I am a reliable, flexible and a self-motivated MSc graduate with specialization in Biotechnology. I am currently an enrolled PhD candidate in Biotechnology. Over the years, I have acquired strong laboratory skills and good communication skills. I am punctual and work very well under pressure both as a team member and an individual. I strive to do my best in everything I do. My objective is to serve in a position where my qualities and abilities can be utilized by a progressive and innovative company to serve the world.

My name is Vutivi Shirinda, I am 23 years old female. I passed matrix in 2013 and in 2014 I was a student in University of Limpopo studying toward a degree of BSC in life sciences, I completed my degree in 2016. This year (2018) I have register for PGCE, for senior phase and FET and my major subject are Life Sciences and Natural Sciences. Hopefully next year I will be a teacher after completing my certificate.

Currently a student at the University of Pretoria Studying Biochemistry and Microbiology double major. Love animals. Great social skills and fluent in Afrikaans and English.

I have a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (Wits). Psychology was my additional major. Therefore I have an excellent understanding of Biology (Human, Plant and Microbial), Chemistry (as Biochemistry was major component of my degree) but I also understand different personality types due to my Psychology background. Therefore my tutoring is usually centered around the type of individual I'm teaching. Regardless of the academic level of student, I always go back to basics when teaching any subject because I never know if the student might have a crack in their foundation that they aren't aware of. I tend to specialize in weaker students that are failing/are on the brink of failing that need help grasping the essence of the subject.   Unfortunately due to the fact that I work a full time job, I am only available on weekends to tutor.

I hold a Masters degree in Microbiology and currently working in the field where i am constantly applying it. I am passionate about Microbiology and I am willing to transfer what I have learned so far.

I am currently tutoring Mathematics, Physical Science, Natural Science and Life Science with TeachMe2 and I tutored the same subjects with Honest Care in 2018. So I have quite a lot of experience. I got distinctions in for all my subjects (except Afrikaans) throughout high school and I did AP Mathematics from Gr.9 - Gr.11. It's all about practice with Math and Science so I do give a lot of homework but it's worth it in the end :)

I completed MBY161 (71%), MBY251 (Bacteriology)(80%), MBY261 (Mycology)(79%) and MBY262 (Food microbiology)(70%) in 2019. My weighted average for 2019 was 77.4% for twelve 12-credit modules at 200-level. In 2020, I completed MBY355 (Bacterial genetics)(73%), MBY365 (Microbe interactions)(77%), MBY351 (Virology)(71%), and MBY364 (Genetic manipulation of microbes)(81%). My weighted average for 2020 was 76.1 for eight 18-credit modules at 300-level.

I have a BSc with joint majors in Biochemistry and Microbiology. I have an interest in the Life Sciences and I want to spread that interest to as many people as possible. I also have this lovely ability to simplify things, so if you are having issues grasping an intricate concept, I bet I can have you understanding it in super quick time.
