I obtained my undergraduate BSc Microbiology degree with distinction. Currently a BSc (Hons) Medical Virology student at the University of Pretoria in the Biosurveillance and Ecology of Emerging Zoonoses (BEEZ) research group. I have had two separate internships during my undergraduate degree: during 2019 at the Centre for Microbial Ecology and Genomics (CMEG), and during 2020 at the Forestry & Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) (CTHB mentorship program) under the supervision of two Master's students. I am able to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner.
