My name is Vutivi Shirinda, I am 23 years old female. I passed matrix in 2013 and in 2014 I was a student in University of Limpopo studying toward a degree of BSC in life sciences, I completed my degree in 2016. This year (2018) I have register for PGCE, for senior phase and FET and my major subject are Life Sciences and Natural Sciences. Hopefully next year I will be a teacher after completing my certificate.

Currently a student at the University of Pretoria Studying Biochemistry and Microbiology double major. Love animals. Great social skills and fluent in Afrikaans and English.

I love working with people and especially young children and teenagers with a thirst for learning. I have a strong love of learning and teaching and love sharing ideas with people. I am also a very active person and love nature and the outdoors. Sports, dancing, music and the ocean are my passions and I love spending my downtime doing these activities. I am in love with science, maths and languages they interest me and intrigue me. I love animals and adventures and helping the community.

I have a biochemistry degree and have a passion for science and seeing students improve in their love for science. It is great to see students reaching their full potential in the greater science community.

I completed BCM251 (Proteins & enzymes)(72%), BCM252 (Carbohydrate metabolism)(75%) and BCM261 (Lipid & nitrogen metabolism)(70%) during my 2nd year (2019). In 2020, I completed BCM356 (Macromolecules of life: Structure-function and bioinformatics)(76%), and BCM368 (Molecular basis of disease)(80%). I have a good understanding of biochemistry and I am able to explain and simplify the different concepts.

I'm not going to lie. I hated Biochem in Varsity, but, that being said, I do have this unusual knack for Enzymology and that is the field of biochemistry that I would be tutoring you in. I got a distinction for my Enzymology exams and the practical component. I love doing research so I would be happy to assist in any projects you may be busy with. I won't do your work for you, but I will help in any way I can.

My approach to teaching involves revising the basics thereafter moving on to more complex problems which I normally equate to every day real life situations which tends to make the problems more understandable.
