I am an engineering student and I have a strong understanding of Maths and Physics. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 and have taught approximately 50 students during that time. My most successful student managed to increase her Physics grade from 55% to 90% during her matric year. I teach students that are willing to learn and work hard. My lesson structure generally involves a short recap of the content and then worked examples as well as guiding students through examples of their own. I believe it is very important to focus on the understanding of the topics rather than just learning routine methods.

I am a 25 year old living in Pinelands Cape Town with a masters degree in public health from UCT. I have a passion for teaching which is reflected in my previous experience working as the Programme Manager of an education focused NGO, Just Grace. Sinenhlanhla matriculated with 5 distinctions and obtained her Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She has three years of tutoring experience. Her tutoring style is very engaging and proactive and former students would describe her as bubbly, patient and thorough. She is currently working as an Accountant in the financial services industry. I am a qualified school teacher with over 6 years of teaching experience. I studied Applied English Language Studies, Media and Journalism at Stellenbosch University. I then went on to study my Post Graduate Certificate in Education and have been teaching both High School and Primary School grades ever since. I have experience teaching English and Mathematics mainly, but have also taugh Science and Social Sciences at lower grades. Completed my Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) at UNISA in 2014. Completed my Honours in School Management through UNISA, as well as a Bachelors of Theology (B.Th) through SATS. Currently completing my Masters at UCT in Education Policy, Leadership & Change. I am concerned about socio-economic injustices and use my passion, i.e., being a patient teacher, to address these issues.
