English Language and Literature tutors in Midrand

I am an English nerd. I pride myself on my grammar and my knowledge of literature. I studied it at university and am still the only person I know who actually enjoys Shakespeare. I have taught English at a high school level and have lots experience in assisting students to improve and excel in the language. I am a passionate reader and am even busy writing my own book. I love classical literature and plays. My pet joys unlike anyone else is Shakespeare. I have studied English literature to 3rd level at university and taught it to matric level. I have a good knowledge of the requirements for the NSC and IRB curriculum for literature.

I have studied First Language English at a private all-girls school from grade 0 through to grade 12. I studied English Literature for 4 years throughout university as it was one of my major subjects for my Bachelor's degree. I am trained as an English as a foreign language teacher and have taught children in Thailand for over a year. I also have online teaching and tutoring experience with children as well as adults. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education online.

I am a third year LLB student at the University of Pretoria. I am based in Midrand but I will travel to surrounding areas. I obtained various distinctions in both my first and second year. I have participated in and coach moot court.

I love mathematics and I miss it dearly since I do not exactly do mathematics at university. I am currently studying towards my first degree in financial science and I am only in my first year.

I am an enthusiastic, vibrant and well-rounded 24 year old lady and I have just completed my Masters in Environmental Science. My passion rests in the environment and its interactions with humans. I also have work experience in the environmental field. I love the outdoors, reading, sports and fitness, music and dancing. I am a kind-hearted natural leader who prides herself in helping others by encouraging them while the learn in fields that I have knowledge in. I enjoy seeing people excel and achieve their goals.

I am well spoken in the language. I can read and write in Afrikaans as well. I always identify what level my student is on by giving them a pre screening to determine where we should start with the subject. I make my lessons fun and stimulating.

My matric result for English was 80%. I have slow visual processing (which is a form of dyslexia) but I learnt how to dissect and accurately write essays. I did my Honours project (which is a mini thesis) on Taxation on Life Insurance Policies and got 70% for that . I placed 6th in the country for the Albert Luthuli Oral History Competition (which is a public speaking compitition).
