I am 24, currently completing my Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting to take the next step in becoming a Chartered Accountant. I am also a UCT graduate. I used to struggle with Afrikaans when I was in grade 8 and 9. My foster mom, who can speak Afrikaans, fortunately, forced me to read a lot of Afrikaans books and I went from getting 50's to 80's and 90's. My final matric result was 90%.

My matric result for English was 80%. I have slow visual processing (which is a form of dyslexia) but I learnt how to dissect and accurately write essays. I did my Honours project (which is a mini thesis) on Taxation on Life Insurance Policies and got 70% for that . I placed 6th in the country for the Albert Luthuli Oral History Competition (which is a public speaking compitition).
