I am an experienced maths & science teacher who has taught grades 7 to 12 CAPS, IEB and Cambridge curriculum for more than 15 years. I focus on methods that are student centered and promoting learning. While some teachers tend to throw information at students and require them to memorize it for a test or event and then never use it again, my philosophy is to focus on life's experiences that continually use what students learn and it becomes a natural part of their life. I focus on true learning that empowers students to be independent thinkers.

Hi :) I'm a recent BSc Mathematics graduate, passionate about learning (almost anything) and teaching others. We live in a very interesting world, and how privileged are they who get the opportunity to learn more about it! In my free time I like to play guitar, jog, and read about Space Science. For the rest, I'm a research student and spend my time learning how to use satellite images to predict the crop yields of farms.

I have a Bachelor of science degree in Life Sciences and I just completed a 2 year internship at the University of Limpopo Science Centre where I was a science communicator. I performed science experiments for grade 10-12 learners, we covered Physical Science, Chemistry and Life Sciences experiments. I also facilitated Biotechnology workshops and gave career guidance. I love working with learners and i enjoy helping people. I am very patient with learners and i am easy to understand. I am very friendly and easy to get along with.

I am currently working as a Game Ranger at Phinda Private Game Reserve. I graduated in 2009 with 6 distinctions and then got a BSc in Civil Engineering from UCT, after working in the industry for three years I quit my job and decided to follow my passion. I tutored throughout my university career and enjoyed it immensely. I find it incredibly rewarding to see students reaching their potential and the confidence that it gives them. I will be available to do Zoom tutoring during the lockdown period.
