I have a Bachelor of science degree in Life Sciences and I just completed a 2 year internship at the University of Limpopo Science Centre where I was a science communicator. I performed science experiments for grade 10-12 learners, we covered Physical Science, Chemistry and Life Sciences experiments. I also facilitated Biotechnology workshops and gave career guidance. I love working with learners and i enjoy helping people. I am very patient with learners and i am easy to understand. I am very friendly and easy to get along with.

Lab Facilitator (volunteer)
I was a Lab Facilitator, i facilitated science experiments. Physical Sciences, Chemistry and Biology experiments for grade 8-12 learners. I also facilitated Biotechnology workshops at Science Festivals. Performed science shows and conducted career guidance.
Research Assistant and Science Communicator
I assisted my supervisor with internet research, field research, typing and filing. As a science communicator i did career guidance, science shows and also biotechnology workshops. I also facilitated Family Math and Key Concepts in Science programs where we help grade 3 teachers use props to teach Math and we also worked with grade 8-9 Natural Sciences teachers where we helped them tackle difficult topics in the subject through expedients.

I majored in Botany (Plant Biology) and Zoology (Animal Biology). I also did Microbiology in second year.

During my internship at the University of Limpopo Science Centre, there was a program where we assisted grade 5-7 learners with Natural Sciences and another one where we assisted grade 8-9 Natural Sciences teachers. We helped them identify key concepts that were difficult for the learners and assisted them using exhibits and experiments. I believe i can be a great tutor for this as i am farmiliar with the concepts.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Molecular and Life Sciences, I enjoy this subject very much. I believe i will be able to explain it effectively to students and I'll be able to assist them with whatever problem they may have. People think the subject is very easy but it can be easily misunderstood. With the right tutor a student will be able to understand the subject very fast.
