I am a Chemical Engineering Graduate from the University of Kwa-zulu Natal.

I am a honors student at UKZN, Howard College. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Translation, German and French. I have a passion for the languages I speak and have learned to speak. I also look forward to helping those around me to learn the languages I have fallen in love with. I love talking and conversing and as a result I feel at ease in the world of teaching.

I am a registered Research Psychologist with HPCSA currently finishing off my PhD. I have moved back to Durban (Glenwood and Morningside area) from Grahamstown and looking to tutor a few students a week. I am a relatively easy going individual who gets on with many people and children. I have taught people of varying ages and ability and have extensive knowledge in different pedagogical approaches (i.e. teaching practices and methods). I'm a recent graduate with a master's degree in Homeopathy (Health Sciences). I'm currently employed by the Durban University of Technology as a tutor, and would like to start tutoring school going students too. My undergraduate degree included a number of courses such as chemistry, biochemistry, physics and biology which make me well suited to tutoring similar subjects at high school level. I enjoy teaching, and find the tutor-student interaction rewarding and energizing. I'm currently applying to medical schools to diversify my skillset, and as a result I've had to prepare myself to write the National Benchmark Test: an absolutely crucial component of one's university application. This experience has confirmed the importance of adequate test preparation, and the need for high quality tutoring in an age where competition amongst high school students, especially prospective university students, is fierce.

This year I did the first semester of Bcom Accounting and realised that I did not like it. I am currently on a break and will resume studying next year. I will study criminology next year. My goal is to help students to reach their achedemic goals by making learning fun and easy to understand. I hope to show students that an appretiation for learning is just as important as exceptional marks. I hope to teach students how to learn in an efficient way that will benefit them.
