Hi, my name is James Michael O'Hare. I am currently a fourth year Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Stellenbosch. I am avid sports person and have spent countless hours as both a player and a coach. I have deep rooted love for the outdoors and I would prefer to spend my free time next to the ocean fishing and surfing. My particular academic interest lies in the Biomedical Engineering field with hopes of completing a masters in the upcoming years. Throughout my education I have excelled in the areas relating to the engineering field and I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, science, design and computer related skills. I would enjoy nothing more than imparting these skills on the young brilliant minds at work today.

Experience
I am currently a third year Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Stellenbosch. Throughout my education I have excelled in the areas relating to the engineering field and I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, science, design and computer related skills. I have demonstrated my communication, teamwork and dedication through various leadership positions in both sporting and community related aspects. My particular interest lies in the Biomedical Engineering field and I hope to complete a Masters in this field in the upcoming. I have had various tutoring work at both primary and high school level whilst currently being involved in hockey coaching and players clinics. In terms of work experience I have completed various engineering internships. The most notable being Sinetech which involved the surveying, design and implementation of state of the art commercial and residential solar systems. I gained experience in electrical circuit design in AutoCAD, energy auditing, electrical system testing and sites consultations. I have gained experience in broader areas including represent Slazenger, an extremely successful sporting company, as a sponsored sports athlete and brand ambassador. I am well acquainted with the promotional and marketing strategies required to to represent a brand in a positive light. I am also currently a brand amabassador for Bril Glasses Company where I am required to represent Bril in a positive manner through social-media and various social events around the country. It also includes dealing with customers head on as a sales representative.
