English Literature tutors in Western Cape

I am an avid reader and a collector of books, classic or otherwise. I have a great command of the English language, a great sense of understanding and I am always open to new and different interpretations of literary works! Reading is fun so it never feels like work. They say, ''do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life.'' Well, precisely.

I studied poetry, Shakespeare and many contemporary authors works. I have also been teaching the CAPS curriculum for the past year. I adore literature at a personal level. This is my favourite aspect of the English language.

I did English for my 1st Degree as a Major subject, that is, up to Third year level and I was good with almost all its different sections starting from Language, Literature, and Poetry. I know the subject very well from my Primary Education where I obtained a B+ symbol which was an inch closer to a Distinction. I have produced very good students who understood the subject better and more than they used to do, before.

I majored in English literature at first language level at University. I am well-equipped in the standards of the South African & other educational systems and I can help Students to meet their goals in this regard. I am passionate about English and its one function of facilitating as a literic vehicle / art medium.

I have always loved literature and excelled at it in school. I love to read everything from novels to poems. I have always had a love for plays and for the work of William Shakespeare. I am very confident and enjoy going into the finer details of the work to better understand what is written.

I am currently studying toward becoming an English teacher. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of English language through vocabulary understanding, writing skills, reading skills and proof-reading assessment tasks. I believe that every day we should be able to learn something new and that having a good English foundation can assist you in your later life!

I understand literature and how to dissect pieces of writing. I have a good vocabulary and can think abstractly, which makes it easy for me to understand creative writing. I also understand and constantly educate myself on human behaviour and how the mind works, which means that I understand emotional perspectives in creative writing.

Being an avid reader, English literature is my niche. I specialize in set workbooks and poetry but can apply the same skills for short pieces of text for beginner readers just as easily and readily. My skillset in this niche starts at recognizing sound devices and phonemes and expands to peer reviews and academic literature.

I have had English Studies up until the end of my second year at University. While I was still in school, I also received the first grade award for English. I have a love for any reading material and I do belief that this does give me the insight to explore the themes, lessons or ideas that the reader wants to bring across in English Literature.
