A 29 year old female originating from North West with Hounours degree in Social Work degree and Psychology. The Social Work Degree was obtained from the University of Pretoria and the Honours one from Unisa. I have a deep rooted passion for mentoring and imparting knowledge. I have three years experience in facilitation and mentorship.

I am a Medical Doctor but have changed careers into Education as this is my passion. I have lived and travelled to many parts of the world (to both work and experience life) - Australia, Canada, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland and South Africa. Currently I am living in Durban with my wife and two young daughters. My outside hobbies include Aviation and History/Culture. I attended Durban High School and then the University of Natal Medical School, after which I passed and was accepted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Currently I am completing my Postgraduate Certificate in Education through UNISA and my TEFL (UK). My first language is English (IETLS band 8.5 through the University of Cambridge Testing System).

Being a medical student Physiology was one of my main subjects in my second year and throughout the medical degree you need knowledge of Physiology in order to examine and treat patients. I offer a basic knowledge of Physiology as well as a more advanced knowledge for those requiring it.

A huge part of my undergraduate and honours degree was based on human physiology. It is also intergraded into my profession therefore it has been crucial understand the physiological processes that occur in the human body in order to give the best treatment possible. During my second year of studying BSc Physio at WITS, physiology was one of my main courses. I really enjoyed studying it. Although some may find it challenging, it is a very interesting module and I enjoy teaching it to others.

One of the majors I specialized in at UCT was Physiology. I love the subject and learning about the functioning of the body/nature at both macroscopic and microscopic levels. I have lots of experience with this subject and received a distinction for it in my 1st year at my new college.

My approach to teaching involves revising the basics thereafter moving on to more complex problems which I normally equate to every day real life situations which tends to make the problems more understandable.
