My name is Josh. I studies music in Sydney Australia. Where i did a three year course, majoring in guitar and songwriting.

I am an Economist by qualification and occupation, I have a passion for academics, education and research. I have been a tutor for more than 7 years, working with undergraduate and post graduate students, for course work and research work.

I have studied music at Stellenbosch University since 2011 and Graduated with my Advanced Diploma in Practical music (Distinction) in December 2016, and specialized in Recorder Solo performance and Euphonium as 2nd instrument. Music has made me the person I am today, and so has martial arts. I have acquired my 3rd level Brown belt in Karate and will be doing a Black belt exam in a few months time. I believe that teaching is one of the most important careers there are, because how will our knowledge be transmitted? I have always loved working with people - I guess I'm a "Peoples person".

I am a second year Civil Engineering student at the University of the Witwatersrand. My favorite subjects are maths and science.

When I was 18, I climbed Mount Everest. Not metaphorically—I literally climbed the highest mountain on Earth. While I was hiking, I thought about quitting approximately 5,000 times. (And that’s a lowball estimate.) But despite the high winds, low altitude, mental and physical fatigue, and trail mix overdose, I kept going. I’m that person. Once I say I’ll do something, it will happen. Now I apply that perseverance to everything I do. That everything includes coordinating and planning different ways in which will make various subjects easily understood by creative minds. I have finished my gr8 guitar through Trinity and am busy with my level 4 teachers licentiate and master class in music theory through Rock School and i write my exams in June and November 2017. My forte is teaching the guitar and have been teaching youngsters from the age of 6. I also teach ukulele and drums, but only for entry level students as the guitar is my first love.
