I am currently an Accounting, Statistics and Mathematics Lecturer. I am passionate about what I do and I love numbers. I have an honors degree in marketing and I am currently studying towards a degree in Accountancy.

My name is Joanna and I am a qualified Speech and Language Pathologist/ Therapist. I enjoy working with both children and young adults. I am currently studying BMus at the University of Pretoria. I have taken several courses that will prove useful in this position. These courses include first aid peer counselling and tutoring. I work well with children of all ages, am very reliable and organized, and am flexible and can problem solve under pressure. I am also a keen and willing learner. With regards to English, I have +/- 9 years experience tutoring and teaching English. 4 of those years I spent teaching English as an ESL teacher online, to adult professionals. During this time, I was also able to assist these students with proofreading and editing their written work.

The nature of my pursued degree in education and TESOL training has prepared me for this position. It involved a great deal of public speaking (during lessons and practical’s) as well as a wide range of skills which has prepared me to work with young people. Having been an English Home Language teacher for 10 years at senior high school level, I have become passionate about skill building.

I am a qualified professional educator with a BA in English and Communication, TESOL and PGCE, ample teaching experience, creative and highly organised with excellent communication skills. I am also passionate about teaching and helping people.
