I love working with children, i love music and playing piano. I am engaged and I help my stepdaughter as much as i can. I realise kids learn at different speeds, and being creative and using braincharts helps with that. I believe that all children can be taught. It is just a matter of relating to the material. I'm patient and fun deapite my age. I believe that I relate easily to most people. And that is me I guess.

I am currently a third year Social Work Student at the University of the Witwatersrand. My motivation to embark on my social work came from my interest in psychology and stemmed from my time during school where I joined the outreach team. I have always felt passionate about helping people in any way that I could and through my time with the outreach team I was exposed to many children much younger then myself as well as the same age and the horrific and the horrific and appalling conditions they were forced to grow up in. Having been exposed to the in comprehensive amounts of physical and emotional abuse these children have suffered, their neglect and abandonment and trauma have made me feel passionate about wanting to make a difference. It also peeked my interesting into the field of child social work. I strive to make a difference in the lives of young children as I believe every child deserves a chance at a life full of joy, love and protection. Through my social work journey I aim to acquire the skills and knowledge that enables me to one day, help save a vulnerable child’s life by placing him or her in a healthy environment where they are cared and protected for, as well as intertwining my ever growing interest and passion for psychology in my work by helping heal the scars of these vulnerable children’s pasts. I believe that I am a fun, kind and selfless individual with a deep passion for helping people and animals. As a student social worker I am open-minded, respectful and accepting, thus I am adaptive to the uniqueness of each persons differences and diversities. I believe that each of us radiate our own light and that we are filled with an abundance of unlimited potential, it takes one person to help you find the tools to unlock your potential and the benefits and rewards are infinite. I have previous tutoring and aupair experience. I am a flexible individual and I am able to adapt my teaching style to the needs and interests of each individual child that I meet. I am a 24 year old, fourth year medical student, studying at the University of Pretoria. I strongly believe in living a holistic lifestyle, achieving wellness through nurturing all aspects of life, and incorporate this belief into everything I do and the people I meet. After achieving 2 distinctions (Maths and Maths Paper 3) in Matric, I went on to do BSc at Medunsa where I completed my first year cum laude. I was accepted into a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery MBChB) which I will complete in 2020. I am an experienced Maths tutor, having received 80% in Maths and 81% in Maths P3. I am a Medical Doctor but have changed careers into Education as this is my passion. I have lived and travelled to many parts of the world (to both work and experience life) - Australia, Canada, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland and South Africa. Currently I am living in Durban with my wife and two young daughters. My outside hobbies include Aviation and History/Culture. My name is Renee Joyce Sellidon, happily married and a mother of two beautiful young ladies. My childhood dream was always to become a teacher, but my career took a different turn from Banking to Credit Control etc. In 2008 I became Facilitator at a NPO and discovered that my dream was becoming a reality. I used to facilitate at youth camps and worked many hours with different school groups ages between 7-16. I am passionate about teaching and nurturing young students into becoming what they are best at. With my big family, nieces and nephews always keeps me on my toes to know what the youngsters want. I would be very happy to help every student achieve the best they could be, if given an opportunity.
