When I was in High School I did not like Math class. I found it boring and hated the homework so I had more blank pages and doodles in my book than I could count. But I like how interconnected and experimental everything was. I liked how something I learnt in Grade 8 was built upon all the way into matric. It was only when I was in Grade 12 and my new math teacher was really great that I started to actually enjoy Maths. All of a sudden, I went from never doing my homework to only doing Math homework, because I was suddenly able to answer the questions “Why?” and “What if?”
I want to help you get that same excitement for Maths that I suddenly developed, and the key to that experience lies within you. Many people do not give the phrase “practice makes perfect” enough credit. We learn by building pathways in our brains the first time we learn something, and then reinforcing them every time we practice. I want to help you build that pathway, then together we can work out what is the way to pave that pathway that suits you, as a learner, best.
