My Name is Zukhanye Gwilikana. I obtained my junior degree at Rhodes University in 2013, a bachelor's degree in Social Science, with majors in Economics and Industrial Psychology. In 2015 I got an opportunity to gain practical workplace expirience through an HR internship programme with the Department of Health. While on the programme I took a decision to further my studies, specifically following the Industrial Psychology path. I then enrolled with UNISA to do my Honours degree in Industrial Psychology in 2016 and completed the qualification in 2018. I am currently awaiting the outcome of my Masters application for the 2020 academic year. Throughout the years, I have also taken on jobs in Research, mainly data collection and transcribing, therefore my research skills are quite decent too. I love people and value education. My love for workplace psychology and understanding the dynamics of people at work is what drives me towards furthering my studies, and if I can help someone else through this tutoring programme I would be most delighted.

I am an ambitious entrepreneur who wants to assist in the development of others. I own my own business and have my Masters in Commerce. My main field of specialization is entrepreneurship while my secondary fields include small business management and business strategy.

I am a 22year old in my final year as a law student. I am hardworking and i enjoy reading and exercising. I come from a ‘teaching family’. Most of my family members teach in some way or another, and I seem to have inherited this passion. I like to create an environment in which students feel passionate about learning and take their engagement in the material in their own hands. There is no greater reward for me than seeing a student enjoy learning and challenging themselves. I am an English home language speaker. I did a BA in English Literature cum laude, for which I also received Academic Honours. I have a BA Hons in Political Science and International Relations cum laude, for which I received an award for coming top of my Postgraduate class. I am currently working on my MPhil in African Studies at the University of the Free State. I have many years of experience in facilitating, lecturing and teaching. Often when I lecture or teach, it is my favorite part of the day. I am an outgoing person, I enjoy spending time with people. I also spend a lot of my time on community development projects; for example, I am a consultant on the government’s new Gender Based Violence policy. I love to be creative and engage with new ideas and I also really enjoy being active.

I am retired, but still give Maths and Life Science extra classes in the afternoons, specialising in gr 10 to 12. I do have gr 9 kids extra for maths as well. While I was teaching, I took part in a programme facilitated by the Nelson Mandela University, where a few teachers taught Maths and Science to under-performing schools on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. i was part of the programme until I retired and found it highly rewarding. I am still healthy and cycle in my free time. I am fully aware of the changes that have been made to the CAPS document. I prefer teaching one on one to teaching a big group, because it is easier to identify gaps and aspects that need to be addressed. I also like to be challenged by strong learners. I will not always have all the answers immediately, but I do make sure that I get to answer learners very quickly on complicated questions. An opportunity like this will suit my current lifestyle perfectly. My wife still teaches full-time.

Hi all, My name is Kaelin, and I hope that I shall have the opportunity to mentor you when discussing the wonderful and complex topic that is Human Biology. I have always been fascinated by the intricate and minute systems which allow life to be, particularly us as humans! This is why I began an undergraduate degree at Stellenbosch University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, which focused on Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics. Now I am currently completing my BSc Genetics Honours degree. I have also completed two certified online courses. One involved case studies and personalised medicine, such as the advances in biomedicine which revolutionise drug development, drug treatments, and disease prevention. A series of case studies were used to illustrate principles of how genetics are being brought to bear on refining diagnoses and on personalising treatment in rare and common diseases. The second online course (Big Data, Genes and Medicine) taught me exciting facts about the human body biology and chemistry, genetics, and medicine which were intertwined with the science of Big Data and skills to harness the avalanche of data openly available. We investigated the different steps required to master Big Data analytics on real datasets, including Next Generation Sequencing data, in a healthcare and biological context, from preparing data for analysis to completing the analysis, interpreting the results, visualising them, and sharing the results.

I am enthusiastic, energetic, and in love with accounting. I want to help students fall in love with it too. My focus is on teaching learners to understand the material as opposed to simply knowing it. I did accounting as a subject in high school, have a higher certificate in accounting sciences, and am currently studying towards my Bcomm Financial Accounting.
