I have a passion for the Afrikaans language and during my school career participated in many reading, writing, debate and public speaking competitions. I will be able to assist with language, reading and writing as well as the writing of any speeches for school purposes.

Afrikaans is my Huistaal en ek is 'n gekwalifiseerde onderwyseres. Ek sal graag leerlinge van verskillende vlakke wil help met woordeskat, spelling, skryfwerk en lees. Ek is 'n leser en 'n skrywer en is mal oor ons taal.

I have achieved distinctions for Afrikaans ever since I can remember. I understand the challenges students face with this subject and how to overcome said challenges. I can make Afrikaans easier for you and help you to improve your marks.

Afrikaans is my home language.

What happens when we teach is that we are forced to wrestle with the subject from a variety of angles. In order to effectively transfer knowledge, we first have to clarify and purify our own knowledge. We are forced to answer our questions, relieve our doubts and submit ourselves to an even higher standard than when we were young students. (And then you get to do the same for your students’ questions and doubts.)

I am currently a community service pharmacist, I completed my Masters in pharmacy. I had obtained A's in Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences, Geography and English in matric in 2013. I am apart of the International Golden Key Society which consists of the top 15% at UKZN. I also have an online diploma in teaching English as a Foreign language

Once again, I received best marks for Afrikaans in my year group. I am very passionate about languages in general and find ideas and concepts relating to language very easy to convey and understand. I enjoy poetry, and find it very healing and relaxing to write in my free time.

I believe that if you speak a language properly it opens doors for you in all areas of your life. How you speak tells other people a lot about yourself. Make the right first impression. If you are struggling at school with Afrikaans I would be glad to assist you.
