A part of my degree was taking a module in primary school mathematics. I have learnt an array of methods to calculate various problems as well as appropriate methods to present the subject matter. Mathematics is something we use in our daily lives, so I believe it is important to set a proper foundation.

I am a fluent Afrikaans speaker and writer. My home language is English, but I completed my high school career in Afrikaans. I am a strong candidate when it comes to languages and I understand what it is like to struggle with a language. I hope that I can provide the extra help you might need to succeed.

I have always thoroughly enjoyed writing and have developed decent skills in creative and formal writing during my school and university years. I am a creative person and I will be able to teach correct techniques and ways to catch a reader’s attention from the beginning. I am also studying foundation phase teaching so I have been trained to help learners who struggle with writing.

As mentioned in other subject areas, I am studying to be a foundation phase teacher. I have been taught techniques and ways to help learners who struggle with reading. Reading is something that everyone should be able to enjoy and I feel strongly about helping children to achieve fundamental skills such as reading and writing.
