I am currently an intern at a reputable investment management firm and a graduate from the University of Pretoria with a postgraduate degree in Investment Management. I completed my degree as the second best student in my class in final year and won multiple awards due to my hard-work, tenacity and dedication. I am an experienced tutor as I have tutored multiple students, classes and learners during my time at University. I began my tutoring career in 2016 and have tutored a diverse range of students in various subjects. I have tutored subjects such as Mathematics, Afrikaans, English, Accounting, Natural Sciences, Investment Management and much more. All of my students have successfully passed the subjects they were struggling to pass, for example I helped a lady who was struggling to pass an accounting module which was preventing her from graduating her degree. I am dedicated to each student and I take full responsibility for the progress of each student to ensure that their goals are reached.

Academic tutor
Assisted learners and students who were struggling academically in mathematics, accounting and Afrikaans. I would assist these students to adequately prepare for exams, major tests and help them understand topics they struggled with in the various subjects.
Investment Management tutor
Conducted tutorial classes with the entire class before major exams and class tests, reviewed all tests that students wrote during the year and held one-on-one consultations with students whenever they needed assistance.
Fixed Income Analyst Intern
Update the entire investment team every Monday morning on what transpired in the fixed income and credit market over the past week. Conduct thorough investment research on issuers and products and produce reports on those findings and present investment recommendations to the fixed income team and relevant investment committees. Conduct macro-economic and market research on a daily basis. Trade in money market securities, nominal and inflation linked bond instruments. Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties and issuers. Perform credit analysis and credit modelling on different issuers in the credit market which includes banks, state-owned enterprises, securitisations and other corporates. Monitor investment recommendations and views on an ongoing basis.

I have a strong passion for mathematics as I believe that mathematics is useful for everything in life. I have studied pure mathematics throughout my primary school and high school career. I almost obtained a distinction for pure mathematics in Matric in 2014. Although mathematics is challenging, I know that with practice, dedication and a tenacious spirit - one can achieve his/her academic goals and I would love to assist a student in reaching that goal. I have tutored many students in Mathematics and all students have passed the subject and moved on to the next grade.

I have studied economics throughout my high school and university career. I have always obtained distinctions for my economics subjects due to my passion for the subject and hard work. I was one of the best performing students in my final year for my economic modules. Due to the nature of my current role as an intern for investment management company, I deal with economics on a daily basis and which helped me understand the subject even more. As a result, I believe I am very qualified to tutor Economics and assist the student in reaching his/her academic goals.

I have extensive experience in tutoring the English subject as I have tutored multiple students. I obtained a 77% in English on matric certificate in 2014. I have a strong passion for the language and I strive to enhance my vocabulary on a daily basis as my current role requires that I write reports and present to experienced investment professionals. Therefore, not only did I pass English well in matric but I still use what I have learnt on a daily basis to communicate effectively.
