• Delivering secretarial services as per legislative requirements, • Ensure that Senate Committees implement the best practice governance requirements in line with the Higher Education Legislation Framework when making decisions, • Providing Committee Members with governance and procedural advice, • Facilitating communication with stakeholders and act as point of consultation between external defined stakeholders and the University pertaining to relevant matters, • Providing efficient and effective Secretarial services to the Senate and Management Committees. • Organize and administer the smooth running of meetings, producing accurate minutes and resolutions, • Compile agendas, draft minutes, action memos, collate and distribute Senate Committee charters and work plans, • Provide general support - maintenance of databases of information on Senate members.
