In my Economics Honours degree in 2016, I obtained 4 distinctions out of the 7 modules. I was recognized for the Dean’s Merit List Award for Academic Excellence, The Economic Research Southern Africa (ERSA) Award and a Top Achiever Award in the third year microeconomics, in the 2015 academic year. I hold a Masters degree in the subject and I also have experience in tutoring as well as lecturing the subject at University level. During the 2016 academic year, I tutored 1st and 2nd year microeconomics and macroeconomics at the University of the Western Cape. In 2017 academic year, I was employed by the Department of Economics at UWC as an Associate Lecturer. I believe my education and experience serves me well for this role as they have allowed me to develop excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
