Estian v - Tutor in Cresta
I am a (soon to be) postgraduate student from WITS, furthering my studies into Management Accounting through CIMA. I have a great passion for accounting and business related subjects, and I am also very fond of mathematics. I am quite familiar with the professional certifications and the steps that need to be followed in the finance sector, and am more than happy to answer any questions that students or parents may have with regards to those. In my spare time, I find myself playing guitar, gaming, or playing chess if I'm not spending time with my family. I'm a very easy going and relaxed person, and I pride myself on my punctuality and preparedness for anything that I do. I believe that every day, a person must try to improve themselves or their lives in some way, no matter how big or small. My specialties for tutoring are anything to do with accounting, economics, business studies, or mathematics. I have 4+ years of private tutoring experience, and if I could have a dollar for the amount of times I've seen students go from "I can't do this" to "Oh yes, this is the easy stuff", then I'd be retired by now.

Studying finance means that you're almost always going to be dealing with numbers and figures, let alone the complex mathematics that follows them. Since grade 8, I have always been a fan of mathematics, because it was something I could either understand and grasp right away, or be left in awe and satisfaction when I finally did figure out how something worked. I understand that a lot of people really struggle to grasp certain, if not most of, the complex concepts, and that is why I decided I would use my talent to help other people understand.

In my matric year, I was entering the year having never achieved higher than 65% for accounting. My teacher said to me that he will help me get a distinction by the end of the year, or otherwise he will retire. Lo and behold, I ended the year with 87%, and my teacher got to keep his job! From that moment in my life, I was absolutely hooked on accounting and anything finance related, and I made a promise to myself that I would help other kids out there to do the same as what I did. Over my years of studying and tutoring accounting, I have not only gained theoretical knowledge, but also knowledge over what people struggle with and a variety of ways to explain each and every topic.
