Hi there! My name is Keeran Perumal and I've been tutoring for a year now to high school and university students. I specialize in Math and Statistics achieving 95% in my Matric Mathematics exam coming 2nd overall in the Johannesburg East District and maintaining this standard by getting 97% for First Year University Maths. Since I am still a student in my 2nd Year of Actuarial Science at Wits, I understand the problems that students face, and can therefore explain problems in a manner that will be easily understood as I have done to many of my colleagues. From 2015 to 2019 I attended Parktown Boys' High School being the Chess Captain for two years, winning the league for 3 years. I was also the Captain of the Science team that came 1st in Gauteng at the Mintek Quiz and 3rd in the Country at the Scifest Expo. I achieved a 90% average with 8 Distinctions which led to me coming 2nd in the Johannesburg East District. I started Actuarial Science at Wits in 2020 and am currently in my second year of study. I tutored first year Statistics in 2020.

I have experience in tutoring this subject and have helped a failing student to pass the year. I achieved 90%+ for the AP Maths exam, therefore I have a solid understanding of the concepts and can explain this is an easy to understand manner. I am great at explaining problems visually allowing students to create a mental image of the scenario making the problem more straightforward.
