Tamryn M - Tutor in Brooklyn
My name is Tamryn Morkel. I am 22 years old and I have a passion for teaching. I want to help children and teenagers to do their best and reach to new heights. I believe all children are talented. I am kind, friendly and patient. I am currently studying a bachelor of education for foundation phase. I am in my third year. I have interned for grade R to grade 3 at St Mary's D.S.G in Kloof where I gained invaluable experience and insight. I have also taught grade 2's for a year at a missionary school where I was a full time teacher. I also did well at English, maths and biology in high school and love teaching those subjects. I can help up to a grade 9 level in these subjects. I have tutored a grade 8 English girl before. I have enjoyed all the experience that I have gotten thus far and believe it has taught me a lot so that I can help learners.

Border mistress
I was a border mistress at St Mary's D.S.G in Kloof for grade 8. I took the girls on excursions. The other grades (9-12) would also join. The interns would take turns running homework and studying time for grade 8-10 where we would also help the with their work. I also looked after the girls by myself on weekends and one day during the week in the afternoons.
Foundation phase intern
I interned at St Mary's D.S.G in Kloof for Grade R to grade 3. I spent a term in each grade where I assisted the teacher. I taught some of the lessons, helped with marking, helped to prep for lessons, helped with classroom management and went around the class assisting learners. I also assisted with coaching swimming, hockey, netball and athletics.
Teacher
I taught a grade 2 class at a missionary school called Hope Valley Farm School. I taught maths, phonics, language, art, drama, sports (hockey, athletics, swimming etc), helped with reading and life skills.

I have a lot of experience and have a passion for mathematics. I can teach in different ways so that I adapt to a way that suits the learners. I am currently studying to be a teacher. I did well at maths in high school. I even did advanced programming mathematics. I am patient and hard working. I am willing to go the extra mile to help learners to understand.

I am an avid reader and have been this way from a young age. I have taught learners at a private school and at school where English was their 2nd language. When I taught learners these learners their English progressed dramatically. Some learners could not write a full sentence in the beginning and by the end of the year they were writing full stories. I have taught English to grade R to grade 3. I have also tutored a grade 8 learner for English. I am kind, caring and put the learner first and teach in way that suits them and that they they will understand. I am passionate about teaching and believe that learners have endless potential. I am patient. I have endless time for learners and I am always willing to put in the extra effort.
