Hi Students, My name is Jamie-Lee Botes. I am a qualified attorney that qualified with a degree in LLB Law and B.Com Law. I have practiced for 5 years as an attorney and thereafter a further 4 years as a junior accountant. I completed both my degrees at the University of Pretoria where I obtained over 20 distinctions. I love learning and it brings me great joy to develop methods and techniques that makes learning easier and more effective. I throughout my five years of studies developed methods that made learning large volumes of information effective while ensuring that the practical implications of the theory were understood. I am avid student and I have a love for learning as well as teaching. I believe everyone can be taught any subject, some may just require an approach more tailored to the individuals learning style. Junior Accountant
I worked as a trainee accountant and thereafter a junior accountant for four years. During that time my duties involved the following; auditing(internal and external), drawing up financial statements,pastel processing, company secretarial work, completing and submitting income tax returns, drafting of agreements.
Attorney
I worked as a candidate attorney for 2 years before being admitted as attorney where thereafter I worked as a Professional Attorney for a further 3 years. I handled debt collection, divorces, maintenance matters, domestic violence and property issues. I appeared in court at least three a week and handled all duties required from the initial client interview to your day in court.

LLB Degree - University of Pretoria
I concurrently completed both my B.Com Law and LLB Degree within this 5 year span, where I graduated with my LLB Degree at the end of 2012. During the course of the 5 years I obtained 20 Distinctions.
B.Com Law Degree - University of Pretoria
I qualified in 2010 with a B.Com Law Degree from the University of Pretoria , where I was also awarded membership to the Golden Key Society for placement within the top 5% of the grade.

Accounting is an amazing subject as it really will be put to good use in any profession as the foundation of finances and how they work truly make the world go round. It would be great fun to teach any student the joys of accounting.
