My name is Tuli Kanime, 27 years of age, and I am a full-time student pursuing a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I did my undergrad at rhodes University where I obtained a BSc and BSc with Honours in Geology in 2011, and thereafter I went on to work for a diamond mining company for 4 years before quitting to pursue my current programme. I am particularly passionate about helping high school and undergrad students who are experiencing difficulties in chemistry, geography, mathematics and any topics in geology.

I have a passion for the outdoors and sharing the knowledge of how science is integrated into those environmental systems; be it in the biological, chemical, physical or geological sector.I am a patient and enthusiastic person when it comes to sharing knowledge and helping those around me. I believe i have an excellent skill in making those that i teach understand the work at hand in a simplified manner. I have good people skills and am able to communicate and interact with people of all ages. Studying a Bsc degree, I believe has equipped me with a fantastic background in not only the science field but also in literature.

I am an avid science enthusiast with a passion for educating and inspiring students to take on the challenge that is STEM.

Hi there, I am Byron, I am currently studying my honors in Geology and of coarse have my degree. I have a world of knowledge in the sciences as well as the earth itself. I seek to find knowledge anywhere I can and have been studying for 5 years now. I am specializing in petroleum geology which requires me to know many things, from technology to machinery. With my many years of studying I have come to understand that education is the most important thing a person can posses, which is something I was unaware of in school. With my studying also comes academic knowledge on how to study, how to write reports or essays, referencing, researching and understanding what is being read. I attended Milnerton High School and loved it there. I have a love for sport, bodybuilding and science. I do not drink or smoke and very rarely go out clubbing as it serves very little purpose in life. I feel obligated to help anyone possible as everyone has a right to be educated and make the most of themselves. As a young person I can also relate to many things and I do pride myself in my ability to put information across. In honors we are required to give many presentations, which I feel I can help with too. Many of my friends attribute their marks to me helping them during exams and assignments, which shows me I am able to work well with people and also educate them. I am postgraduate student with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry. I have a Bachelor of science majoring in Chemistry and geology. I am a expert in lab work and writing scientific reports,where the experimental findings are easily conveyed and i naturally enjoy maths, I have been a vacation research assistant for three years where I have worked on various research Master projects from organometallic complexes to carbon and oxygen isotope dating in terms of sample preparation. My strong will and determined has led my passion of giving back to the community to be channeled through various different but equally rewarding projects such as Orientation leader at university, Project leader for a program called Tipping point and being a authoritative figure in my residence at university. I believe these roles have adequately enhanced my time management and organizational skills.

Currently doing my MSc at UCT. I triple majored in geology, geography and environmental science in my undergrad at Rhodes University. I did a year of chemistry in my undergrad, however I do geochemistry and geophysics as part of geology so my chemistry is up to scratch. I wont have a problem teaching highschool maths or physics/chemistry, geography or biology.
