I am a well educated, 3rd year Stellenbosch Student. I am committed, positive and caring. I love meeting new people and exploring new places. I am energetic and love to equip others with the ability to learn and understand.

I am a second year student at UCT studying towards a B.Sc majoring in Geology, oceanography and atmospheric science. I have a passion for teaching and intend to go into education either as a lecturer or high school teacher. My high school matric results: Mathematics 96% Advanced Mathematics 88% Physical Science 92% Geography 91%

At school and then at university I was always (and am) a voracious learner and it seemed natural to move over to the 'other side' and share my enthusiasm for learning through teaching. I have received consistently good reviews from my students at university, who have found me helpful, enthusiastic, and willing to do extra one-on-one work wherever it is needed.

My name is Tuli Kanime, 27 years of age, and I am a full-time student pursuing a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I did my undergrad at rhodes University where I obtained a BSc and BSc with Honours in Geology in 2011, and thereafter I went on to work for a diamond mining company for 4 years before quitting to pursue my current programme. I am particularly passionate about helping high school and undergrad students who are experiencing difficulties in chemistry, geography, mathematics and any topics in geology.

I am really interested and passionate about the subject matter in Geography. This was reflected in my Grade 12 results as well as being awarded as the top Geography student. I find the concepts easy to grasp, which gives me the ability to explain difficult areas to others in an easy and understandable manner. I also show empathy for my students, which allows me to understand and relate to where the student is coming from and difficulties they may be experiencing.

I have a passion for the outdoors and sharing the knowledge of how science is integrated into those environmental systems; be it in the biological, chemical, physical or geological sector.I am a patient and enthusiastic person when it comes to sharing knowledge and helping those around me. I believe i have an excellent skill in making those that i teach understand the work at hand in a simplified manner. I have good people skills and am able to communicate and interact with people of all ages. Studying a Bsc degree, I believe has equipped me with a fantastic background in not only the science field but also in literature.
