Drama is both a practical and written subject which can make it tricky. I believe I can help i both those aspects - from blocking monologues and duologues to learning the theoretical aspects of the subject. I am patient and understanding when it comes to teaching others which in addition to my experience in the subject would make me a suitable tutor.

Drama was one of my favourite subjects in high school and I thoroughly enjoyed both the practical and theoretical elements of the subject. I was a drama coach at Rustenburg Girl's High School. I am very familiar with the syllabus.

I have an extremely strong passion for teaching and have experience in teaching and tutoring at numerous schools. I have taught to kids in places like Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India, where I taught in schools to many children of all ages and levels. I believe that there is a special connection between a student and a teacher, in being able to offer knowledge, love, understanding, and a space to grow. I am an energetic, positive, and creative person, with a zest for life, and a deep patience. I have a gift of connecting with children, and am able to be one with children, as well as having the strengths of organizing, planning lessons and being reliable and hard working. I have strong interpersonal skills which assist greatly in tutoring.

I am a friendly and intelligent 25 year old female currently studying Early Years Montessori Teaching. I am really passionate about education and am particularly interested in helping students with their Music (theory and piano practical), English, History and/or Drama studies. I am very creative with particular interest in sewing, painting, reading, drama, dance and music. I have worked in the fashion industry (as a fashion designer, blogger, stylist and visual merchandiser), broadcasting (hosting 2 radio shows over 3 years) and most recently have been working at a Montessori pre-school as an assistant teacher.

My name is Joanna and I am a qualified Speech and Language Pathologist/ Therapist. I enjoy working with both children and young adults. I have a passion for helping others and have a very patient and empathetic nature. I have experience in working one on one with individuals since I matriculated. I worked as a teachers assistant in the Uk for one year, where I specifically worked with those children who needed one on one attention. From there , I went to university at the University of Cape Town and completed a BSC is Speech Language pathology. Whilst studying I tutored various students through the years and thoroughly enjoyed helping them succeed academically and developing relationships with them and their families. I am now a practicing speech and language therapist but enjoy tutoring on the side.

In as much as I am academically inclined I am also an all rounder with the involvement in a vast sphere of cultural activities such as dance, drama and am a vocalist as well. I am very open minded and goal driven and as a result i take up a lot of learning challenges .
