English Language and Literature tutors in Roodepoort

I have worked in the customer service industry now I have banched out into tutoring for 9months now

I have a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (Wits). Psychology was my additional major. Therefore I have an excellent understanding of Biology (Human, Plant and Microbial), Chemistry (as Biochemistry was major component of my degree) but I also understand different personality types due to my Psychology background. Therefore my tutoring is usually centered around the type of individual I'm teaching. Regardless of the academic level of student, I always go back to basics when teaching any subject because I never know if the student might have a crack in their foundation that they aren't aware of. I tend to specialize in weaker students that are failing/are on the brink of failing that need help grasping the essence of the subject.   Unfortunately due to the fact that I work a full time job, I am only available on weekends to tutor.

I was the Top student for English in matric and I owe it to my amazing English teacher who not only helped me develop a passion for both the language and the literature but never gave up on me. I hope to do the same to future student and help them in any way possible by being patient, understanding and hard working.

I believe in phonics as a base, and then working one's way to comprehension. I've had the relevant training in Thailand. I enjoy the playful nature of teaching young learners. Planning of lessons and corrections at the right time is important as well. I have a huge amount of patience, and feel that I can assist any young learner!

I have completed my LTCL teaching diploma in English language and drama as well as currently doing my degree in linguistics and journalism which gives me an in depth knowledge into the English Language.

I love how the language is constructed and how poetry and writing conveys the mind of the writer. English is the business language and is required to be both written and spoken in a proficient manner. It is therefore very important i order to create a professional image as the words you speak and write are your advertisement of yourself.
