I love teaching Afrikaans, as it is my home language. Because I’m equipped to help the pupil achieve their educational goals. I would define myself as a problem solver and a team worker who thrives on rising up to challenges and on achieving objectives. I am a hardworker, dilligent and never say no type of teacher. I am studying BCOM Financial accounting to become an accounting teacher. I worked as a sports teacher, and love my kids. I am an early bird and will never give up on a challenge. As someone who values and practices discipline, empathy and respect, I believe I can be a positive role model to your pupils. The way I see it, being a tutor is all about providing young people with good behavioral examples they can implement when learning and interacting with others. Because I am not committed to just a job, but to the tutor profession as a whole. I place high value on constant learning and I always take the initiative when it comes to attending conferences, workshops and talks that can prepare me to be a better tutor. Tutoring is a great way to help somebody in need.

I have a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology (Wits). Psychology was my additional major. Therefore I have an excellent understanding of Biology (Human, Plant and Microbial), Chemistry (as Biochemistry was major component of my degree) but I also understand different personality types due to my Psychology background. Therefore my tutoring is usually centered around the type of individual I'm teaching. Regardless of the academic level of student, I always go back to basics when teaching any subject because I never know if the student might have a crack in their foundation that they aren't aware of. I tend to specialize in weaker students that are failing/are on the brink of failing that need help grasping the essence of the subject.   Unfortunately due to the fact that I work a full time job, I am only available on weekends to tutor.
