I hold more than two years’ experience in working in a biochemistry and chemistry laboratory as a student assistant in assessing, assisting, preparing, invigilating and facilitating students during their practical sessions. I have attended conferences of which I was exposed to networking and exchanging commentary scientific reviews with international scientists, which broadened and sharpened some of my strengths and weaknesses. I specialised in Microbiology up until my final year at undergraduate degree. I can help students understand the basic biology & microbiology easier and in its simplest manner

Life, in all its forms, is stunningly beautiful and appreciating that can lead to really enjoying Biology as a subject. It is a core for any further study in the field of science and can even be a great asset to navigating everyday life when properly understood. My aim with this subject is to break it down in ways that are easy to understand. There is often an information overload and this can make it seem daunting but applying the correct techniques can help achieve great results.

I received a distinction for this in matric. Both my parents are veterinarians, so I guess it runs in the blood. I can help with all parts of the subject. Plants, animals, humans, you name it! The key is to learn your diagrams in a way that enables you to easily recall them in the tests.

I am a science-lover with a fascination for learning new things. I love sharing knowledge and helping other people understand scientific concepts. I had the only life sciences distinction in my school in my Matric year (87%). I then also obtained 3 other distinctions (Afrikaans, English, and Life Orientation), with my remaining three subjects (Physics, Core Maths, and Information Technology) in the 70s. I am generally the person in my university modules who takes the lead in projects and ensures that everything runs according to plan. I'm particularly focused on helping fellow students understand concepts, and I'll often share learning material or easy ways to remember sections. Last year I completed my BSc Zoology degree at the University of Pretoria, and I'm currently working towards my BSc (Hons) Entomology degree. Next year I will be undertaking my Postgraduate Certificate in Education to teach high school life sciences.

I love mathematics and I miss it dearly since I do not exactly do mathematics at university. I am currently studying towards my first degree in financial science and I am only in my first year.

I am currently in my fourth year of study of an LLB degree at the University of the Witwatersrand.
