I am a qualified teacher with four years of teaching experience ranging from Grade R to Grade 7. I have more than a year's online tutoring experience in teaching adults to speak Afrikaans, English and Tswana. I like to engage with my students in a way that is personal, fun and connects their own personal interests with learning. I understand kids! Being a father myself, I know what kids like and dislike, this is always helpful when I plan a lesson.

Good day, My name is Jolene and I am 31 years old. My passion is to teach and develop young minds in a fun and exciting way. I have 8 years teacing experience. I have a b.ed degree in foundation phase (Gr. R - 3).

I am a very competitive person, when i set my mind to something-one way or another it will be done and i believe that makes me very successful in the academic and sporting fields. I also have a keen interest for sports such as tennis, netball and swimming and attained provincial colours in all three areas and would love to help in any area that is necessary. I am also very sociable and love being around people and have a desire, especially in my near future to help other people. I particularly love the subjects geography and biology, i am however studying a major in english and can help in many areas and also am very handy with maths, but primary school level.

I was born in the Free State and moved to Witbank when I was 13. Matriculated in 1993 and started studying at the FET College in Witbank. Personnel Management. I finished my N4 and started working for a Financial Advisor at Old Mutual. In 1995 I started working at Harvey Nortje Inc and was inspired to start studying again. My original course was presented by Technisa, but my final Degree was through Unisa. My working experience (22 years) helped me a lot with my studies. My working experience is in :- 1. Implementing systems and procedures 2. Organisational effectiveness 3. HR Administration and Recruitment 4. Finances / Bookkeeping 5. Information management 6. General Administration I have always been interested in getting involved with teaching, but unfortunately I never had the opportunity. I finished my BTech Degree Business Administration in 2012 and it was a very big day in my life. It was not easy with two young children at that time still babies and a full time job. During my 12 years of studying, I came to the realisation that the understanding of a subject is both theory and practical exposure. Discussions with people with practical experience in a specific field, shades more light and understanding on the theory.

Greetings to all! My name is Mercia, I am a 28 year old Special Needs Teacher. From a very young age I have dreamt of always helping people in such a way that I could see that I made a difference in their lives no matter how big or small. I have been brought up to believe that you can achieve anything as long as you work hard for it and stay committed. Teaching is about self- discovery. I want to be part of an individual’s journey, a sort of stepping stone. I would like to be able to encourage life-long learning and critical thinking amongst learners of all ages. I am eager to meet new people and help where I can!
