I am a 26 year-old female currently residing on Pretoria. I am a lover of nature and the outdoors, birds and wildlife. I am a qualified graphic designer, having obtained my BA Information Design degree at the University of Pretoria in 2012. I have 4 years industry experience. My interest in graphic design started with my love for visual art & literacy, a field of study I still find fascinating. I am also a keen musician, having played piano up to Grade 8 level and tenor saxophone to Grade 5 level. I am fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans and have an excellent written and spoken command of both languages.

I am intelligent, friendly and easy to talk to. My students find me approachable and they feel free to ask any question related to the subject. I am a strict teacher, but I never resort to yelling or insulting a child. If necessary, I will use a stern voice. I understand that each student is different, therefore I use various methods of problem solving. It is my belief that no one is unteachable and if a pupil struggles with a certain concept it is the teacher's duty to find a different approach that works. It is important to me that the lessons should be fun and educational. I value constructive criticism; I highlight mistakes and provide the student with the necessary tools to fix it and I complement pupils on their improvements. My teaching environment is constructive and encouraging.

I have completed my Grade 8 in piano and used to run a music Academy - would love to teach again.

I have done my singing grade up to level 8, and am therefore equipped to teach the necessary skills needed to help you achieve your goal in singing. I will be able to help improve your range and your projection.

I have passed my Grade 8 UNISA piano exam with a merit and I have achieved a distinction for all of the other UNISA piano exams. I started learning how to play the piano almost 13 years ago and I believe I have the capabilities to provide a good start and basic skills for children just starting to play the piano. I believe that the first skills that the kid learns is the most important because it provides a solid ground level that will be able to become better and more stable.

I have played piano for the past ten years. I received a distinction in Music (TCL) in Grade 12, and am able to provide piano lessons for beginners to intermediate level in both practical and theoretical aspects.

I started with music at the age of 5 years old and have been actively performing and doing exams. I have had many years in teaching and have also had experience with teaching my students online. Music has been an important part of my life and I enjoy sharing this passion with everyone
