Hello! My name is Marissa and I am a 4th year Physiotherapy student at WITS. My peers would describe me as kind, friendly, patient and approachable. I am very passionate about teaching others in the most fun and memorable way possible! I am committed and hard working and will try my best to ensure your goals and expectations have been met. I am available for tuition in the late afternoons during the week and anytime on weekends.

I am completing a Master’s degree in Management Accounting. I have a Post-graduate Diploma in Management Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences. I am controls and process focused, able to identify and solve problems, paying high attention to detail and accuracy. I have knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, regulations, and policies and I am able to apply them to strategic and/or practical situations. From previous and current positions, I have proven analytical skills to collect financial data, synthesize, evaluate, derive relevant findings and present them in a meaningful manner. I am experienced in the usage of computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and possess advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, handling of web based management systems and ERP financials. My goal is always to take on roles of increasing responsibility for addressing critical situations and delivering core value. I am working as a Financial Reporting Analyst since August 2015 at DSV South Africa (Pty) Ltd. I previously occupied the functions of General Ledger Specialist. Second year BSc Computer Science and Mathematics student with experience in private tutoring for students with learning disabilities. I am a culturally diverse individual with experience in the Cambridge system and the International Bachelors (IB) system. I matriculated with the Cambridge system completing 7 IGCSE subjects, 5 AS-Level subjects and 2 A-Level subjects. My current studies are aimed towards a future in software design and engineering that integrates AI for company systems.
