Name: Isaac Nhone Age: 21 Education: Currently a 2nd year BSc Mathematical science student at the University of Johannesburg. I was born and raised in Johannesburg by both my parents. When I was growing up I was self-motivated from a very young age due to how frequent I saw people facing challenges- From this I developed desires of wanting to bring change in other people’s lives. In primary school I always joined Math’s and science competitions, I always liked to explaining concepts to my fellow school mates. The passion grew even when I reached my matric. I matriculated in 2014 and took a gap year in 2015 due to my financial challenges. During my gap year I started free mathematics and science extra lessons mini program. 2016-2017 In 2016 I took a break from the program and went to go study at UJ. During my first year I instead did home based tutoring to fundraise for my tuition fees. I attained 6/6 Distinctions for my first year, this led to various opportunities. - I became a UJ genius fellow, with other to 1% prospective students. - - I was also recruited as an international golden key top 15% students at UJ
