I have been a teaching assistant for the engineering design course at UCT since its induction in 2018. The course centers around the construction of a device from concept to physical implementation. The course runs in the second semester.
This post had me working under my supervisor as an assistant in managing documents, spreadsheet, and giving counsel and advice on research outcomes
These were three courses in total. Introduction to Electrical Engineering Energy Conversion POWER system analysis opperation and control Each course ran for a semester of the listed period of time.
I have had many students which I have tutored in this period of time whether that be in a group setting or one on one. Days and time slots are scheduled for the meetings which I have done in person. These were all in mathematics.
The degree covered topics of both mechanical engineering and well as electric and electronic engineering. The focus of the degree was to to enable the student to implement control interfaces between the mechanical and electrical systems with the knowledge gained throughout the degree.
The Dissertation focused on a novel derivation of Thevenin impedance equivalents using a point of common coupling on a low voltage network.
I have 6 years of experience tutoring this subject to students of all strengths. I am able to teach the material in ways that are understandable to any particular student. I have a knack for writing out drill exercises which allow the students to apply the methods to future work.
