Hi there! My greatest passion in life is helping others. I have experienced great success at school due to amazing and unforgettable tutors. Unfortunately, I only got a tutor in my Matric year and I was not admitted for Medicine with my grade 11 results even though my marks went up drastically thanks to my tutor. I am now studying a Science degree in the meantime and then will move over to Medicine later. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be so that they can reach their goals on time. I am a patient tutor and very organised. My students will not have to wonder what we will be doing because they will each have a schedule best suited for their needs according to which we will be working. I am flexible as well and I am available after hours to answer any burning questions or provide further assistance as sessions might be overloaded with information. However, my students will receive a pdf of my handwritten or typed notes covering what we have done in that session along with extra optional practice examples. We are in it to win it, together!

I worked at Gutta's Medical Centre (our family doctor). I would help out with bookkeeping and counting tablets and packaging them and offer general assistance wherever it was needed. This was a holiday job.
I worked at Era's Pharmacy. My day to day would be reporting for duty on time and making sure the pharmacy is ready to be opened, I would make tea and coffee for my employers and the colleagues and also help unpack the medication onto the shelves and help the cashiers.
Learning music was a very fulfilling experience for me growing up. I can definitely say that it helped improve my discipline and mental capacity while increasing creativity. Through music and the communications skill course, I was able to articulate myself better and speak clearer and more eloquently in order to grab my audience's attention and leave a lasting impression.
This is where most of my character was built. I grabbed a hold of any opportunity that may have come my way. I took an active interest in my school's extra mural program. I took part in Hockey, Marimba, School Choir, National Choir Academy, Eisteddfods, Science debates, Science expos and Afrikaans Public Speaking. I was also part of the Tuck Shop, First Aid and Wellness Centre Committee and became the Deputy Head Girl of my School and Head Girl of my hostel. All this has taught me how to stay focused and how to be goal driven. It has also taught me qualities such as being well mannered, organised, understanding, helpful, a team-player and a great degree of 'bounce backability'. Each student and I will form mean team and will focus in excelling in anything that we put our minds to as a partnership.
I am currently studying towards this degree. Science helps me understand the world around me on a more 'intimate' level. This fires my passion for my degree because if I unravel why and how things around me behave, I am able to come up with innovations that my life easier for humans on earth. I would not like to keep all this to myself though, I want to teach and help others reach their potential by also making a difference in their lives and by assisting them whenever they need on a more "peer" but older sibling level. I got a tutor only later in my high school career and I absolutely regretted. She taught me how to approach certain problems and think creatively about them especially when I felt 'stuck'. I want to help someone else who needs some 'refining' and wants to make a drastic difference in life (or in their marks). Either way, I am here to help YOU.
Afrikaans is one of my home languages, spoken on an everyday basis. I can teach suiwer Afrikaans for good essay writing which includes idioms and witty sayings. However, I can also teach a more conversational Afrikaans which will assist with grammar and concord. I also advise watching 7de laan every night to listen to how the Afrikaans is spoken whilst reading the subtitles. It really helps!

Everything around us is based on Physics and Chemistry and that fascinates me! This is another module that I am taking at university, on a more in depth level. I am the best tutor in this subject because I do well in my course currently and I love to see others excel too! I am thorough in my explanations and do not mind repeating because repetition is Key!
