I am a Data Science Masters student. I enjoy sharing what I have learnt in my academic journey. I have tutored students from primary school (maths), high school (maths and science), first to third year (chemistry and Python programming). Working with different students has taught me how to be patient and adjust my tutoring techniques to accommodate different students.

Experience
Research intern
I developed codes and used them to analyze water quality data.
Co-supervisor
I co-supervised honours students for the first 5 months of the year 2018 and 2019. During the first year I was teaching the student how to use machine learning software programs how to analyze data and interpret it. During the second year I was teaching the student how to code using R and use the resulting codes to analyze the data.
Lab demonstrator
I demonstrated lab experiments to first year students, showed them how to work as a team, how to write reports and answer questions as well as how to think when answering tricky questions. I was also teaching them about the safety precautions that they should follow in the lab. I marked their reports. In the last two years, I also did this for third year student, explained how the IC instrument works, how it can be used to analyze water samples and how to analyze the results from the instrument. I also taught a third year student on how to code using Python.
Tutor
I tutored maths to grade 4-7 and 12 learners for an hour and 2 hours, respectively, at an orphanage on Mondays and science for grade 12s on Wednesdays. This involved the use of to toys to demonstrate for the lower grades and analogies for grade 12 learners. I also tutored chemistry to for for first-third year students. I would explain the concept using analogies where necessary and demonstrations where possible. I also set mini-tests and assignments, practiced using past papers and supplied extra, simpler notes where necessary.
Education
BSc Honours Chemistry - Wits University
I had two projects, one in analytical chemistry and another in physical chemistry. The programme as whole consisted of organic, inorganic, analytical and physical chemistry. I excelled in Physical chemistry.
BSc Chemistry and Geology - Wits University
I majored in Chemistry, Geology, Maths and Physics for my first year and I excelled in chemistry. I continued to second and third year majoring in geology and chemistry.

Pure Maths
I enjoy teaching the subject and this has been reflected by results of the students that I have tutored. I attained a distinction in the subject in high school and I have tutored multiple students who have come to enjoy and understand the subject as much as I did.

I enjoy the subject, it’s my utmost passion when it comes to learning. I have attained a BSc and an Honors degree in the subject. I have tutored both high school and undergraduate students. I have demonstrated lab experiments for first and third year students thus I can use explain the subject beyond the theory. I was also one of the top achievers of the subject in my first year
