I am an enthusiastic tutor with a love for English! I studied English Literature at Rhodes University and received As for English in High School. I believe that learning should be fun and as a result, my teaching style is simple, hands-on and creative. We all have different kinds of intelligence. We just need to learn where out strengths lie. We also need to discover our own learning styles, which are all unique. My aim is to guide you by creating a safe space to learn, experiment and play with the English language in a way that is fun and effective for YOU! A little about me personally: My hobbies include photography, walking my dogs, reading, baking and gardening. I am also an avid nature-lover with a love for road trips and travelling.

Content Creation and Writing
Free-lance work for the teenage skincare company Rites Skin Solution. Monthly content creation and implementation of different online marketing campaigns. I wrote monthly, topical blog articles, organised gift hampers and competitions. I contacted and worked with different influencers. I was also in charge of art-briefing and certain parts of the product's marketing design.
Camp Counselor
As a summer camp counselor, I cared for children between the ages of 7-17 years old. I instructed and ran various indoor and outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, surfing, arts and crafts and more. I also instructed children in appropriate safety measures.
Copy-writing and Social Media Strategist
This involved free-lance work for the advertising and production agency, Red Hot Ops. I maintained and updated their social media accounts. I also responded to online inquiries and drew up digital market strategy plans and made other advertising related suggestions (website - SEO - Facebook advertising etc.)
Marketing Assistant
My role included writing up digital marketing plans for The Design Assemblage and for their partner, Chairclub. I was in charge of the copy-writing, art-briefing and managed all guest correspondence. I also helped organise and run these events; which included talks, Masterclasses, workshops and tours run by leaders in industry and business. The events were focused on Design Thinking and Innovation. Our partners included The Green Building Council, the IID and The Greenside Design Center.

English Language and Literature
I have been passionate about English since primary school. Growing up I loved to read and to express myself through creative writing. I am suited to tutor English for many reasons. I received As for English throughout school and majored in English Literature at Rhodes University. I chose to study at this University because of their top English and Humanities Faculties. Although I studied English academically and have a great understanding of English Grammar and Literature, I still thoroughly enjoy creative writing. Because of this, I have been able to put the theory I have learned to the test. Since my graduation in 2019, I have worked in advertising, doing copy-writing, editing and have authored a collection blog articles for brands across the spectrum. I am a creative thinker with the ability to view things from many perspectives. My teaching style is flexible and open - suited to your needs, strengths, weaknesses and current language ability.
