Hello my name is Chelsea Yonishe Trishlin Henkeman, I am 27 years of age and I was born and raised in South Africa. I am married and have no children. I do have a love for teaching and helping others therefore I decided to study Education. I have my Adult Basic Education Training Higher Certificate and I am currently studying towards my Bachelor in Education at the University of South Africa. I am a qualified online English teacher. I have both my TEFL and TEYL certificates which allows me to teach foreign students English online. I have been teaching English online since June 2016. I teach both adults and children. I teach English grammar, reading, fluency, conversational, pronunciation and writing. I enjoy teaching online because I get to complete my students and I am able to give my full individual attention to my students and adapt my teaching to my students pace. For adults my lessons are more serious, focused and to the point but with my children lessons, I try to be more laid-back, I like to have fun and speak about what they love so I can incorporate what they like into our lesson to ensure I keep their attention and if need be I act a little silly to get them to laugh and learn because that is the best way to grab their attention.

Online English Teacher
I teach online from my home office. I use a fibre line and Jabra headsets. I have an i5 core laptop to give me optimal speed and ensure the quality of my lessons are always up to par. I teach all hours of the day, 24 hours because my students are all around the world. I enjoy teaching online because I get to meet many different people and learn about life abroad, the different religions, traditions and festivals.

I taught children from the ages of 3 years old to the ages of 5 years old. I taught them shapes, numbers, stories, etc. We started our morning at 7 and ended at 5. I enjoyed it so much. The highlight of my job was seeing the children grow and develop. Knowing I had some help in them flourishing was the best feeling in the world.

I have been teaching Online English for over 4 years now. I have taught grammar , VOCABULARY , pronunciation , fluency, writing and reading. I have taught lessons from 25mins to 1 hour and I always use different methods of teaching to keep my students attention. I try to get lessons that would interest the student therefore I look at the age group and their interests and use that to teach my students English. I am very patient and work according to the students pace. If I have to explain something 10 times I will, students feel free to ask me questions and I love questions it shows me you listening and learning.
