My name is Renike. Am a Montessori/ECD Teacher Trainee of Indaba Montessori Institute, Lynedoch Stellenbosch. Am a professional teacher from Ghana and a Nigerian citizen. I have been teaching all aspects of English Language - Reading, Writing, Grammar, Comprehension, Creative Writing/Composition, Vocabulary, Pronunciation and Spelling using the Active-Inspire Primary Classroom Application Software in the last 7 years. As a Montessori-an, i believe in the Montessori Pedagogy that children learns faster by what they see, hear and touch which is usually retained in their memory until their adult age. Helping the child learn through fun loving activities that removes boredom and encourage participatory and engaging learning activities on the part of the teacher and the learner. This is a very important principle in Montessori teaching. This application software is used in building and presenting my lessons. It creates videos and pictures of the vocabulary-keywords, it also develops the key words and its meaning/synonyms/antonyms in a tabular format making it easier for the learner to connect with the words once the meaning/synonym/antonym has been provided. The learner gains deeper understanding of the word thereby enriching his/her vocabulary by learning more words through the synonyms and antonyms. The Active-Inspire software also helps in forming simple sentences with the vocabulary thereby improving the learner's reading and writing (creative) skills as well as correct pronunciation/diction&spelling of the words. The learner learns to form simple and correct sentences on his own as well as learning to write meaningful compositions as it's required of his/her level. I use short, simple and precise language to deliver my lessons as a trained Montessori/ECD educator, limiting my teachings to only the essence-necessary and sufficient information for the learner. I show the learner what he/she needs to know and avoid analysis. Rather i allow the child time to work on his own as he/she figure out the rest.
