I have completed my Matric in the year 2006 with achievements regarding computer studies, making me have above average typing skills and knowledgeable in programmes such as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher and anything with regard to the internet. I have completed articles at the Legal Aid Clinic of Stellenbosch on the 31st of August 2012 and worked as a Research Assistant at the High Court dealing with divorces and facilitation. I have been admitted at the High Court on 6 December 2013 and in October 2015 received my Rights of Appearance to appear in the High Court. Currently I am an Associate at Parker Attorneys in Cape Town. The skills I have obtained during articles and through practise, involve client interaction skills as well as thinking in a legal manner and drafting legal skills, whether it pertains to documentation such as emails, letters or other forms of correspondence as well as legal documentation such as contracts, summons and applications and understanding legal terms. I have also been a tutor at the University of Stellenbosch as well as a Graduate Lecturing Assistant for the University of the Western Cape. The following fields of law I gained experience in, namely, Criminal law, defending ESTA & PIE eviction applications, drafting of contracts such as rental agreements and purchasing of items, drafting of Wills, Labour matters specifically attending Disciplinary hearings, Labour Court Matters and attending to Conciliations and Arbitrations at various Bargaining Councils and the CCMA , Divorces, Debt matters, Maintenance, Due Diligence, Protection Orders, advice on RAF matters and Civil litigation.
