I studied Maths and Physics at university (2nd and 1st year respectively) while studying towards my Geography and Computer Science degree, and have a solid grasp on the fundamentals that make up the high school curriculum. I am passionate about these empowering tools, and find that one-on-one lessons are a more effective way to explain their seemingly abstract concepts. I try to develop my students' personal understanding of the subjects so that they can think through problems in a way that makes sense to them as individuals. I tend to use analogies and visual methods to familiarize students with new content.

High School Tutor at Grahamstown Extra Lessons
I tutored High School students from grade 8 to grade 12 mathematics (lit, core, and AP), physics, and geography. Sessions were an hour long, I typically did 3-5 hours a day for 2 days a week, with either 1 or 2 students at a time from a wide range of schools.

I enjoyed high school geography and went on to study it as my major in university, where I graduated with a distinction in the subject. I have a strong grasp on the subject from the roots up to more advanced topics, and have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring the subject in the past. I am confident I can assist with work from high school up to the final year of the university syllabus.

I thoroughly enjoyed physics at university and believe that mastering it inevitably refines critical thinking skills in other areas of life and provides a fundamental framework for other areas of science. While the subject matter is fascinating when understood, the actual process of learning it broadens the mind and challenges our cognitive abilities, and is a process I am always eager to be involved in.
