I am a graduate mechatronic engineer and I am an absolute nerd for math and physics. I have given lessons in group and one-on-one settings, ages 10 to 20+. I taught privately for 1 year, during which time I helped a boy prepare for his Matric Math exams. Due to the way I teach he noticed improvement in other subjects as well which is pretty cool. I worked for Master Maths for 6 months, teaching math to children from grade 4 to 12. During this time I also tutored science to children grade 10 to 12. Finally, I tutored Applied Mathematics to second year students at the University of Stellenbosch for one semester. I love math and science because there is logic to everything that happens. When students understand why they are doing certain things I have found that they master math and science much easier. My methodology is showing you how to systematically solve any math or science question. I have found that many students struggle with interpreting the actual question and generally don't know where to start. I teach my students how to think about these problems, arming them with the tools to solve problems they have not seen before. I am patient and extremely good with people. In addition I love teaching and helping people believe that they can do the work.
